Your Majesty,
By the time you read this letter, I might no longer be by your side. For years, I have referred to myself as your uncle without revealing the truth. You are the descendant of the fallen bloodline of the old imperial monarchy, the hope of the House Lancewise. As you embark on the journey to reclaim the Land of Kolossos, I hope this letter can provide you with some guidance.
Your ancestor, Glory King, along with his two closest friends, Ediat and Parazyon, waged a bitter war for 20 years to unify the Land of Kolossos. It is said that the three of them possessed the three treasures of the Goddess of Trinity, which they hid in three different continents, symbolizing their friendship and trust in fighting side by side. This marked the beginning of a co-governing era that lasted for hundreds of years and was the most glorious period of the empire. However, the prosperity was short-lived as the Blood Moon War erupted, with Ediat rebellion forces besieging the Lancewise. Eventually, the Lancewise VI and his knights were trapped in a small border town in the God's Cove and perished due to lack of supplies. The country fell apart, and various feudal lords emerged. The rulers were not content with their existing territories. On one hand, they accumulated their own power, and on the other hand, they sought the three treasures of the goddess, either openly or covertly, as a pretext to unify and proclaim themselves kings.
To embark on the path of restoring the old empire, it is essential to have an understanding of this continent. Currently, what I can tell you is that this land is divided among 15 families who share power, and there are 7 different factions entangled in the shadows. Let me explain their relationships to you one by one...
I. House Lancewise:
For generations, the noble House of Lancewise, descendants of the esteemed Glory King, have held dominion over the land of Kolossos, as chronicled in the annals of history. The mantle of rulership has always passed down to the eldest son of the family until the tumultuous Rebellion of the Blood Moon usurped their reign. Renowned for their bravery, righteousness, and benevolence, House Lancewise embodies the epitome of noble character. No cowardice can be found among them. In the throes of the Battle of the Blood Moon, they fought with an unyielding spirit and unwavering fortitude, resisting until the very last moment. The remaining tribes still control Isscyd, awaiting your return with the legendary "Crown of Glory."
II. House Tipoli, House Onegin:
Harken to the words of the old noble houses, whose patriarchs are two of the regents of the realm. The lineage traces back to eras predating the Empire of Kolossos. Through the ages, they have proved themselves steadfastly loyal to the royal house of Lancewise, and sought tirelessly for the rightful heir to the King of Thorns, that the true bloodline of the empire be honoured and preserved.
III. House Lubien, House Sevins:
House of Lubien is a vassal to House Onegin, with its current head serving as a member of the Privy Council. Due to its control of the Isscyd taverns and gambling dens, as well as the protection from Onegin, the Lubien family holds considerable prestige among the middle and lower class. The Sevins family is a vassal to House Onegin, with its current head serving as a member of the Privy Council. Known for wisdom and academic prowess, the family has given birth to many advisors, offering counsel to those in power. The respect for the Sevins extends beyond Isscyd, as they are well-received in the seven kingdoms, and sought after as military strategists.
These families are currently our allies and will assist you in unifying the continent to the best of their abilities. However, some of the upcoming families may not be as friendly towards you... [To be continued]
