Your Majesty,
The continent of Kolossos is far more dangerous than you might imagine. Some families adhere to a creed of killing and fighting to the bitter end. They are undoubtedly plotting in secret on how to eliminate you, this unexpected "intruder." As for other families, they may not openly confront the House Lancewise, but it is up to you to judge their true intentions.
I. House Canterbury
Emerging as a rising star among the nouveau nobles, this house possesses the most advanced artillery manufacturing techniques in Isscyd. They uphold the belief that the wise should reign as kings, aspiring to see their own family's sage ascend to the throne. By a fortuitous twist of fate, they become an instrumental force in bolstering the protagonist in the later stages. It would be wise to establish connections with such talented individuals as they might become a valuable asset to you in the future.
II. House Dorwy
House Dorwy has gained immense renown in Isscyd for their benevolent and compassionate demeanour, convincingly winning over many. The Dorwy family openly supports the Lancewise and aligns themselves with their cause. However, there are rumors suggesting that during the Blood Moon War, they conspired with House Ediat. The truth behind these rumors would require your exploration and investigation. House Dorwy are descendants of the once valiant Sun Knight (your father). The current patriarch is the head of Isscyd's Royal Knight Order. However, beneath the veneer of nobility lies a clandestine engagement in the slave trade industry.
III. House Sidney
Sidney, a former court agent and now representative of the old nobility, hails from a family led by a grand duchess who is a member of the Privy Council. She is tasked with managing the royal wealth, funding the Isscyd charity and supporting the Royal Knights.
IV. House Damon
The head of the Damon family serves as a member of the Privy Council, having bred influence through the marital unions of his daughters into various families across the Seven Kingdoms, thus broadening their network. Regardless, their standing among the nobility remains rather low due to the lack of any additional competencies.
V. House Lennywood
The people of the kingdom harbored contempt for House Lennywood due to their failure to deliver crucial supplies to House Lancewise, who were valiantly defending Port Calvyn during the fierce Battle of the Blood Moon. Later, the Lennywoods migrated to Opulentia and undertook the development of their own estate industry. Remarkably resilient, they were willing to endure even the harshest of conditions. However, their tendency towards indecision and a lack of direction prevented them from advancing, and they remained stuck in a state of stagnation.
VI. House Eckehart
Hailing from common origins, the Eckehart family is a nouveau-riche aristocracy of recent years, with the patriarch serving as a diplomatic envoy. As a force distinctly separate from the old nobility, they hold a high reputation among the commoners. They affiliated with the House Lanniewood.
VII. House Heitia
The Heide family has maintained the purity of their bloodline by following the traditional practice of sibling marriage. However, years of inbreeding have caused their psyches to become twisted and distorted, leading to various abnormal and deviant tendencies. Despite their vast and seemingly inexhaustible wealth, the Heides have a proclivity for exploiting and taxing the impoverished members of society. The family's defining traits include greed, perversion, and an unwavering pursuit of nobility.
VIII. House Quentin
Originating from adventurers who braved the treacherous Shriek Grove to the south, the side branch of the rebellious House Ediat boasts a patrilineal legacy steeped in daring exploits. Hardy and rugged, they weather the onslaught of northern sea pirates with ease and remain unfazed by the wrathful tempests of blizzards. Defined by their acerbic hostility, unwavering determination, and indomitable fortitude, the Ediat family embodies the ideals of relentlessness. They subscribe to the dogma that might make right, considering it the only means of survival in a ruthless world. Regarded as the most formidable military power amongst the Seven Kingdoms, House Ediat is a force to be reckoned with. House Ediat currently resides in Fort Khione.
IX. House Gorsenholm
Deeply entrenched in the art of deception and skilled in the wiles of cunning, the offshoot of the rebellious House Ediat flourishes in tumultuous times. They are a faction steeped in discordance, driven by their unquenchable zeal for the spoils of war in the midst of chaos. Unhinged madness, tumult, bellicosity, and callous ruthlessness encapsulate the trademark characteristics of this family. House Gorsenholm currently resides in Blackwoods.
X. House Fillian
The ancestors of House Fillian trace their lineage back to the blood moon seer, Damascus, whose descendants have all pursued rather peculiar professions, such as tarot readers, astrologers, scientists, and doctors. They appear to possess a unique intuition for the unknown aspects of the world. However, their claims were dismissed as mere folly by the people of Lancewise. It was not until the war erupted as predicted that House Leader Damascus and his wife mysteriously vanished without a trace. From then on, this family become the most mysterious entity on the Mainland.
The continent of Kolossos is home to a vast population, giving rise to numerous sects and organizations. There are seven main belief systems on this land, with some of them controlled by powerful families, using them as a means to rule over their people. However, there are also factions that maintain a temporary neutrality... [To be continued]
