Your Majesty,
The continent of Kolossos has a long history, and in addition to the families, there are numerous other forces at play. Some serve as tools of imperial rule, while others are spontaneously formed groups. These forces can generally be divided into three categories: religion, guilds, and military organizations.
The authentic faith of the former empire's orthodox church is the Trine Faith, which was once the true spiritual belief of the empire. Over time, it gradually split into different branches. The current mainstream sects are the "Relics Holy Trinity," the "Goddess Holy Trinity," and the "Rushing Tides." In addition to these, there are also smaller groups such as the "The Hermitage" and the "Conclave of Truth".
Notable guilds include the "Blackwoods Handicraft Guild" and the "Merchants' Guild of Pearl Islands". While they appear to be organizations formed by merchants and workers, there is noble support behind the scenes.
When it comes to military organizations, there are many. The most well-known and powerful family knight order on the continent is the "Quentin Ironhoof Order." There are also the "Golden Fleece Order," who stand by your side, and the "Roses Hero Order" who have grown up with you since childhood. They have disguised themselves as farmers, protecting you until this day. The relationships among these organizations are complex, and many forces have hidden agendas. I will now introduce a portion of them to you, and please exercise caution.
I. Goddess Holy Trinity
Emerging from the splinter faction of the court, the conservative sect reveres the Goddess of Trinity from Celtic mythology. Predominantly embraced by women, the adherents of this faith hold elevated status, as they possess the ability to bestow revelations and guidance upon the fortuitous souls during pivotal junctures.
II. Relics Holy Trinity
As the ancient empire's Ecclesiastical Court, the old faith upholds the authority of the Goddess, advocating for the divine right of rulership, positing that leaders are divinely appointed. Present-day followers largely consist of traditional nobility, espousing the primacy of lineage and the supremacy of destiny.
III. Rushing Tides
The Rushing Tides is a sect that gradually emerged after the decline of the Holy Trinity, which worships the moon symbolised by the Goddess of Trinity. The followers believe that the holy relics are just a cover used by the church to enslave people and that the people should have their own cycles and imperfections like the moon. They advocate for people to take control of their own destiny and believe that anyone with the ability can ascend to the imperial throne.
IV. Conclave of Truth
Nestled within the underbelly of Locke Sevins, this clandestine underground organization has expanded its influence from the Citadel to Opulentia. Having ascended to the upper echelons of the Ecclesiastical Court, they tirelessly orchestrate the establishment of an ideal kingdom, known as the utopian realm of "Sandor." The Conclave of Truth venerates utmost wisdom while disparaging the ignorant, resorting to ruthless means to purge dissidents.
V. Blackwoods Handicraft Guild
A guild organization, spontaneously formed by skilled artisans hailing from the depths of Blackwoods, diligently crafts and supplies mercenaries and assassins with an array of essential equipment. They meticulously fashion saddlery, arrowheads, and vials for toxic substances, among other related items.
VI. The Golden Fleece
The Royal Knight Order of House Lancewise pledged an oath to defend the family's honour with their lives. Nonetheless, following the dissipation of the empire, the knights were scattered, and they are now a rarity, only surviving in folktales. According to the myth, they will reunite under the revival of the King of Thorns. The Royal Knight Orders of the Seven Empires were emblematic factions, comprised solely of aristocratic offspring commanded by House Dorwy.
Your Highness, time is limited, and I have shared with you all that I can. These pieces of information may only scratch the surface, but they are enough to give you a sense of the complexity of this continent. Even if I may not be able to guide you further in the future, I implore you to unify this land that rightfully belongs to House Lancewise.
Best regards,
Your loyal servant & Your uncle
Anthony Clayderman
